Rockville HELP assists persons seven days a week to extend a caring, listening ear, provide assistance and refer clients other resources when needed.
We offer help with rent, mortgage, utilities, prescriptions, gasoline, bus or taxi fare, and many other special needs.
We deliver a three-day supply of food for a family or individuals. All deliveries are made by car and brought directly to people's door.
We can offer limited help with:
- rent or mortgage payment
- utility bills (water, electricity, gas)
- prescription medication
- medical bills
- emergency food (3-5 days of supplies for a family) delivered to your home

We will deliver food to a family a maximum of three times in six months, and offer financial assistance once in a twelve-month period
In what kind of situations do you give financial assistance?
Rockville HELP will provide financial assistance for prescriptions or medical bills; rent, security deposit, or mortgage; as well as utilities, transportation (gas or bus fare), and special needs upon approval. The amount provided varies by need and availability of funds.
Do you deliver meals?
No. We deliver mostly canned and packaged food. In addition we bring bread, eggs, cheese,and butter. Sometimes we have fresh produce and/or ground beef, depending on donations.
Where do you get the food that you give out?
Most of the food comes from donations. Some comes from government surplus. We buy bread, eggs and cheese on a regular basis, and sometimes powdered milk.
