Who we areRockville HELP is a team of volunteers on duty seven days a week to extend a listening ear, provide financial assistance, deliver food, and offer clients additional referrals when needed. We attempt to help everyone who calls.
Our MissionTo provide emergency financial assistance (eg. prescriptions, rent, security deposit, utilities, groceries) and for other aids as needed to residents of Rockville, Maryland. We furnish information and referral services in other areas not covered in our program.

Our HistoryIn 1968, members of the Rockville faith community came together to address the needs of City of Rockville residents in emergency situations. While there were established agencies to assist with long- term problems, little assistance existed to respond to their immediate needs.
Rockville FISH was formed to provide a unique and essential seven-day-a-week emergency help service in our community. In 2006, Rockville FISH became Rockville HELP and continues the mission of reaching out to our neighbors in need. Currently, our all-volunteer staff of about 40 people works diligently to fill this void. Some of our volunteers have been doing this important work for 30+ years. |
