Rockville HELP

Giving a helping hand to those in need

who we are

Rockville HELP is a team of volunteers on duty 7days a week to extend a caring listening ear, provide financial assistance, deliver food and offer clients additional referrals when needed. We attempt to help everyone who calls.

our mission

To provide emergency financial assistance (eg. prescriptions, rent, dept, utilities, groceries) and other aids as needed to residents of Rockville, Maryland. We furnish information and referral services in other areas not specifically covered in our program.

our history

In 1968, members of the Rockville faith community came together to address the needs of City of Rockville residents in emergency situations. Whereas there were established agencies to assist with long term problems, little assistance existed to respond to their immediate needs. Rockville FISH was formed to provide a unique and essential 7 day a week emergency help service in our community.  In 2006 Rockville FISH became Rockville HELP and continues the mission of reaching out to our neighbors in need. Currently our all-volunteer staff of 35 people works diligently to fill this void. Some of our volunteers have been doing this important work for 30 years or more.
